Blaise Pascal on Light and Darkness
“There is light enough for those who wish to see, and darkness enough for those who are otherwise inclined.”
– Blaise Pascal
Pascal is best known for the misnamed “Pascal’s Wager,” his easily misunderstood argument on personal decision making. In this quote, Pascal gives us another insight on making decisions that again points to how ultimately what we believe is a free will choice. Whether one sees truth comes down to a willing choice. There is plenty light of wisdom for all willing to open their eyes. There is plenty darkness of ignorance for those unwilling. There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.
